CHARITY EVENTS AUTUMN TERM 2022
Over the course of the Autumn Term our fantastic fundraising efforts raised a total of £3,606.87! Thank you to you all for your amazing generosity!
We began our fundraising in September with Jeans for Genes day. Staff and pupils all wore jeans for the day and our donations raised a fantastic £380.87! To find out more about the cause and to donate, please visit their website here.
Our next event was The Harvest Festival. We invited donations for Chelmsford Foodbank and collected a great number of foodstuffs and household items. We also collected donations at the church on the day of the festival for the local CHESS Homeless charity and amassed the awesome total of £314! If you would like to visit the CHESS website and make a donation you can find the website here.
It was BBC Children in Need Day on Friday 18th November. We joined in with the ‘SPOTacular’ theme and all wore something spotty to school in exchange for a donation to the charity. The children all took part in some Pudsey themed drawing and writing competitions and Form 1 also joined in with the nationwide ‘Mood Boosters’ live broadcast on the BBC. Our efforts this year collected a wonderful £338! You can find more information on the Children in Need website here.
One of our most successful and enjoyable fundraising events was the Reindeer Run in December in aid of the local Farleigh Hospice. All pupils collected sponsorship and on the day we all wore reindeer antlers for a 15-minute run around the playground. Everyone enjoyed it immensely and we raised an absolutely incredible amount of £1727! For more information about this worthwhile charity please visit their website here.
Wednesday 7th December was the day of our Christingle Service at St. John’s Church. It was a wonderful evening, attended by all Prep children, parents and staff. We collected donations on the evening for St. John’s Church and raised the marvellous amount of £545!
We also held a collection at the end of our Pre-Prep Christmas and Nativity performances in the last week of term. This year our chosen charity was CHESS Homeless and thanks to the very generous donations from the audience of parents , we raised a brilliant £302!
