Over the course of this half term, our school fundraising efforts have raised a total of £682.47 for a number of chosen charities. Thank you to everyone who has helped us raise the money! The funds will be going a long way and helping many people.
Our fundraising for the half term began with the Salvation Army’s Recycle for Michael clothing collection. Our pupils donated an excellent 22kg of clothing, raising £37.06! If you would like to see some more information on the Salvation Army, or make a donation, please visit their website here.
On Friday 20th September, we participated in Jeans for Genes day. This fundraising event can be held at any date within a certain time of year, and our pupils and staff all wore a pair of jeans into school for the day. With everyone contributing a donation, we raised a whopping £243.30! If you would like to help towards the cause and donate, please visit their website for more detailed information here.
For our Macmillan fundraising we had a cake sale, with beautiful (and funny!) cakes made by our teachers. This sale raised a brilliant £154.51 for the charity. If you would like to see any more information on the charity or make a donation, please visit their website here.
The Harvest Festival this year was an excellent success. Throughout the school, we collected boxes of unwanted toiletries to donate to CHESS Homeless Shelter. On the day of the Festival we collected donations at the church, and the generous donations amassed £247.60 for the shelter. If you would like to see some more information on the shelter and make a donation, you can find the website here.
