Over the past half term, our pupils have been on a number of educational trips to enhance their learning experience with us. Parents – you can find photographs of the children on their trips in the parent secure area.
We started off the new school year with a year 1 trip to Oaklands museum. The children had an excellent time dressing up as Victorians and participating in themed activities, which therefore enabled them to learn more about what life was like as a Victorian child.
Secondly, our year 4 and year 6 classes headed to Sanford Mill. They engaged in exciting, educational workshops centered around sounds and Victorian home and toys. Moreover, the children had a brilliant time, and thoroughly enjoyed the activities.
In addition, the year 3 class had a spectacular trip to Hadleigh Park. Whilst on the trip, they learnt all about the Stone age – Iron age. They dressed as warriors, went to warrior school, made clay pots and participated in an archaeological dig. The children all loved every minute of the trip and could not stop praising their fun experience to our trip coordinator!
Lastly, our year 6 went on their very first residential trip together. They spent five days at the Hilltop Outdoor Center, participating in a wide range of exciting activities. From rock climbing to zip lining, they certainly had a blast! Parents are reminded that if they would like a copy of the Hilltop video, to please contact the school office.
