I have great pleasure in welcoming you to St. Anne’s School website. I hope it will give you a flavour of the happy and successful environment in which our children flourish. We are proud of the school’s many achievements, which have been the result of hard work by a very professional team of staff, and an equally determined and enthusiastic group of children.
At St. Anne’s we celebrate the talents and gifts of each child and enable them to reach their full potential spiritually, morally, academically, socially and physically. We aim to develop a responsible and independent attitude in all children towards their work, and towards their roles in society by providing a well balanced education, incorporating the best of traditional and modern teaching methods. We take pride in the fact that when the children are ready to move on to their senior schools, they are confident in their own ability and ready to face the challenges ahead.
We hope that you will visit us soon and experience first hand the caring family atmosphere that is evident in our school.
St Anne’s Preparatory School is a small Independent Preparatory School founded in 1925 for boys and girls aged 3-11 years. The School is renowned for its friendly atmosphere, supportive enthusiastic staff and excellent academic results.
Conveniently situated in the centre of Chelmsford, the pupils enjoy the facilities of a large Victorian townhouse, extensively adapted for use as a school, with ample playgrounds and grass areas for recreation.
At St. Anne’s, we endeavour to create a happy environment in which every child feels welcomed, cared for and treated fairly. We aim to ensure that our pupils enjoy the excitement of learning and surprise themselves with their progress, taking pride in the standards they are able to achieve. Our classes are small and with a total student count of approximately 160 we achieve a family ambience which is shared by everyone.
